Bartholomew

• When: Fourth, same day as Philip (John 1:45-51).

• How: Philip found Nathanael and told him about Jesus. Skeptical at first (“Can anything good come out of Nazareth?”), Nathanael met Jesus, who praised his sincerity, convincing him.

• Context: Scholars often link Nathanael with Bartholomew (since Bartholomew’s paired with Philip in lists, Matthew 10:3). This is his intro if they’re the same.
